Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hospitalist / Laborist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive inpatient care, managing patient assessments, and coordinating treatment plans in a hospital setting. Applicants must provide efficient, cost effective obstetrical care and gynecological care using evidence based medicine. Evaluates patients in triage on Labor & Delivery or Emergency Department admitting patients when needed. Managers and delivers Obstetrical patients.
- Duties
 - Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
 - Assists with C-Sections.
 - Rounds on hospitalized, antepartum and post-operative patients.
 - Covers all Emergency Room call coverage for OB / GYN when on shift.
 - Provides both Inpatient and Emergency department consultations.
 - Manage inpatient care for a diverse patient population, including those with complex medical needs.
 - Utilize EHR systems and EMR systems effectively for documentation and communication.
 - Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment options and health management.
 - Engage in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions of care post-hospitalization.
 - Qualifications
 - Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree required.
 - Licensed in the state of California as an OB / GYN.
 - DEA Certification required.
 - Prior experience as an OB / GYN preferred. (at least 3 years experience)
 - Ability to demonstrate excellent independent judgment, problem-solving, analytical and collaborative skills in order to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, providing patient centered leadership and direction.
 - Must have the emotional intelligence that may include, but not limited to, patience, sensitivity and the compassion to work with patients that may be stressed, anxious, and difficult.
 - Bilingual in English / Spanish is preferred.
 - Strong clinical skills with experience in hospital medicine; critical care experience is highly desirable.
 - Proficiency in using EHR systems.
 - Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and teamwork.
