Provide basic grounds maintenance services to keep up the health and appearance of the landscape at The University of Texas at Austin. Responsibilities include maintaining landscape to University standards, driving University-owned vehicles, safely operating landscaping equipment, picking up litter, and keeping University property neat and orderly. The position requires adherence to safety rules, maintenance of acceptable driver rating, and working overtime in support of special events and emergencies.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, experience following basic work instructions, effective communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, stable work history and work ethic, basic computer operations, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a Class C driver's license. Preferred qualifications include one year of landscape maintenance experience in a university, institutional, or commercial setting.
