Position Summary :
As a Boiler Ammonia Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical and electrical repairs to keep ammonia refrigeration systems and other plant equipment operational.

What You'll Do :
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, boiler equipment, and wastewater plantConduct daily safety inspections, identify and address leaks, and maintain accurate temperature readingsContinuously evaluate techniques, procedures, facilities, and equipmentCollaborate with maintenance, production, and processing teams to maximize machine uptimeIdentify opportunities and recommend improvements for equipment and overall operationsFollow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and maintain a clean and safe environmentPerform scheduled safety inspections of various equipment and ensure all safety gates are operationalHandle additional projects and duties as assignedWho You Are :
Safety-focused with the ability to work safely on complex, automated machineryA team player with strong verbal and written communication skillsSkilled in troubleshooting utilities equipment, including Anhydrous Ammonia (NH3) refrigeration systems, boilers, and wastewater treatment facilitiesProactive and able to work independentlyWhat You'll Need :
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent5+ years of experience in ammonia refrigeration, preferably as a Utilities Mechanic, Refrigeration Technician, Boiler Operator, or Wastewater OperatorPreferred training or certifications in Ammonia Refrigeration (CIRO, CARO, Industrial Refrigeration Operator, RETA, etc.) and / or boiler operationPSM knowledge is a plusWelch's is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
