What Success Looks Like In This Job

This position is responsible for providing quality control to all Adams County Workforce and Business Center (WBC) programs. Supports team members through a variety of file audit tasks related to compliance of County, State and Federal regulations. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. This is a temporary position for 6-12 months.

Examples of Duties for Success

• Conducts internal audits and review of WBC program files to include job seeker training, supportive services, operational, regulatory and specialty audits.
• Proficient understanding and current knowledge of all WBC policies and programs to provide audit findings that will increase State compliance and efficiency; provide related technical assistance, support and training.
• Assist and advise WBC team members, as necessary, to resolve file audit concerns and non-routine issues to ensure timely completion.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
• Ensures confidentiality of all program files and records, maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and county regulations, guidance, policies, and procedures.
• Complete assignments in various data bases such as, but not limited to, Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS), Ultimus, EDOCs, CUBS, and Connecting Colorado.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new data systems and requirements.
• Organizational skills; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Work flexible hours at any Adams County location as required to meet the business need. Locations are in Westminster, Brighton and North Aurora areas.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

• Demonstrated ability with PC’s, MS Office, Internet skills, keyboarding skills, and ability to operate office equipment.

More Qualifications for Success

• Experience:

  Two years related experience in working with workforce development, case management, training, vocational rehabilitation or related field. Experience in an employment center or similar professional work environment is highly desirable. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Experience with Connecting Colorado and CBMS highly desirable. Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Experience working with businesses, employers, community partners, low income, unemployed, under-employed and/or diverse populations is preferred. Education and Training: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Services, Career Counseling, Educational/Guidance Counseling or a related field. OR Demonstrated two years of experience related to the Essential Duties, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities may be substituted. License and Certificate : Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license. Background Check : Must pass a criminal background check.
