ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Evansville, Indiana.

Job Description & Requirements

Opportunity : RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Weekend block option available
  • Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
  • Every other holiday rotation required
  • First to float within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice
  • Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
  • Required certifications : Active compact nursing license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years Cardiac / Neuro Med Surg Tele experience plus 1 travel contract OR 5 years Cardiac / Neuro Med Surg Tele experience
  • Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
  • Must pass telemetry tests for EKG interpretation
  • Care for cardiac patients post-procedure, arrhythmias, heart failure, STEMI / NSTEMI, neuro patients with CVA and seizures
  • Perform post heart cath care, initiate / titrate Heparin, NIHSS assessments, chest tube management
  • Patient ratios : 1 : 6-7 on nights
  • Work on 19-bed blended unit with 8 designated stepdown beds and 11 Med Surg Tele beds
  • May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
  • Associate degree or certificate required
