Responsibilities

Millwood Hospital is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood's caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. The Court Liaison works in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, Risk Manager, and Director of Inpatient Clinical Services to ensure the facility's adherence to patient rights while successfully managing the legal processes that are required of area courts regarding involuntary patients.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or psychology.

Minimum of two (2) year's work experience in mental health and / or chemical dependency.

Knowledge of Texas Health and Safety Code, Texas Administrative Code, Joint Commission and CMS regulations, and patient rights standards and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities. The Court Liaison must be a self-starter, able to work independently and under time deadlines and possess superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
