Telemetry Registered Nurse | Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A nursing opportunity is available for a skilled RN with telemetry experience in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract role offers a chance to provide expert patient care on a dynamic telemetry unit, focusing primarily on medical-surgical patients while maintaining tele monitoring capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care with an emphasis on telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing

Administer blood products, manage peripheral lines, and start IVs

Utilize Rapid Response protocols and serve as Charge RN as needed

Follow isolation precautions and provide care involving Heparin, insulin, PCA, and nasal cannula oxygen delivery

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and maintain a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio

Qualifications And Experience

Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years telemetry and inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience; first-time travel nurses will not be considered

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system

Ability to pass a mandatory Pass / Fail EKG exam during onboarding

Flexibility to work 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 p.m. 7 : 30 a.m.), including every-other-weekend and holiday rotation, with occasional float duties

Strong organizational skills and adherence to strict punctuality and attendance policies
