Responsibilities Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care setting Unit includes Labor & Delivery, Mother / Baby, Postpartum, and OB with 3 L&D beds and postpartum care provided in-room with 2 overflow rooms Average volume is 120-130 births per year Night shift from 6pm to 6am with 12-hour shifts Required to float to MedSurg as needed—this is non-negotiable Uses Athena for EMR documentation and PeriCalm fetal monitoring system Team includes shared CNA support for Med / Surg and L&D units No OB / neonatologist in house; family practice coverage only CRNA available as needed for respiratory care Pharmacy support is on-call, not 24 / 7 Responsible for patient care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and OB settings Expected to assist on MedSurg unit if staffing needs arise Scrub attire may be any solid color No on-site respiratory therapy department; CRNA assists as needed Pharmacy services are provided on an on-call basis Requirements Active UT or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience Valid certifications in BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Must have experience with Athena EMR and PeriCalm fetal monitoring system Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-562232.
