HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours Employment Type : Local Contract Number of Beds – 8 Operating Rooms and 23 Pre-op / PACU Bays Shift for the Traveler Monday thru Friday between 0645 – 1730 hours Type of staff : Days : 1RN and 1 Surgical Technician per room with relief team for breaks and lunches Nights : 1-2 assigned late crews for cases going past 1530 hours Type of equipment – all equipment associated with out-patient day surgery EMR – We do not use an EMR Typical Procedures : Standard Out-patient surgeries such as Orthopedic, Plastics, eyes, ENT, General, Urology, Pain, Podiatry Floating : We are affiliated with three out-patient surgery centers within a few miles of each other and there might be a need in the other ASCs as well. Must Haves : - An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred - Knowledge of different surgical specialties - Experience as a circulating Nurse with at least 1 year of OR experience - AK RN License - BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications Preferred or Nice to Have : - Ability to scrub on certain cases - Able to provide conscious sedation or a willingness to learn - MediTech Experience - Travel Experience
