Who We're Looking For

We're seeking a Staff Accountant who is :

  • Focused on excellence - You deliver reliable financial support that strengthens the credit union.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze, review, and reconcile general ledger and internal bank accounts daily.
  • Process vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, and corporate card statements.
  • Process incoming and outgoing wire transactions.
  • Assist in month-end close procedures, including posting journal entries, accruals, and producing financial reports.
  • Document, test, and maintain internal department procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for existing procedures.
  • Support credit union projects, goals, and initiatives as needed.
  • Provide backup support to other accounting staff and management.

    • What You Bring

  • College degree or post-secondary courses in accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience performing clerical office work.
  • Record of high achievement in business, education, or extracurricular activities.
  • Ability to use a personal computer; proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and math abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
  • Demonstrated competencies in teamwork, accountability, flexibility, self-starting, and appreciating others.

    • Work Environment

    This is a hybrid position, requiring two days per week in-office.

    • Job Status : Exempt

    Pay Range : $56,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience
