General Duties & Functions
- Participates in installations and start-up assistance for new installation and equipment modifications
- Discovers methods of improving efficiency and ensure quality standards, as an individual and part of a team
- Assists QA with finding and implementing corrective actions from customer rejections
- Communicates with other shifts, operators, and technicians to give and receive updates on equipment status
- Interpret blueprints and schematics, implement methods, practices, and techniques of maintaining production facilities, systems and equipment
- Performs Preventive, Predictive, Project and Reactive maintenance as required
- Performs routine diagnostic checks on automated systems and equipment collecting equipment performance data for early diagnosis of potential system and / or equipment malfunction
- Reacts quickly to equipment down condition, evaluates specific nature of trouble through effective troubleshooting and analysis of data, determines root causes of trouble, determines necessary repair, and executes / expedites repair and recovery to restore equipment to safe and efficient operational status
- Communicates specific nature of equipment repair and recovery, along with causes, to appropriate management and operations personnel
- Maintains accurate service records so that the performance of equipment can be monitored
- Inputs appropriate work order and equipment repair data into the maintenance management system, as appropriate to assigned tasks
- Rebuilds, repairs and reassemble machines and equipment
- Communicates required supply of essential spare parts
- Maintains certification as required to perform exception personal maintenance performance
- Engage personal performance to achieve and retain high-performance standards
- Other duties as assigned
Skills / Qualifications
Possesses knowledge of industrial maintenance systems, equipment controls and safety circuitsPossesses working knowledge and ability to troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCWillingness / ability to attend formal training courses to learn PLC programmingMust possess good communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, excellent visual skills for accessing functionality of equipment, above basic mathematical skills and reasoning abilityKnowledge of OSHA Requirements to include electrical safety, machine guarding, confined space and lockout / tagout proceduresBasic working knowledge of computer software and MS officeExperience with operating forkliftAbility to operate with speed and accuracyAbility to interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawingsDemonstrates team spirit, shows flexibility and positive attitude as an active team contributorDemonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentDemonstrates problem solving skills, is able to recognize and appropriately escalate issues when situations ariseAbility to successfully complete pre-hire basic skills tests and assessmentsAbility to successfully pass pre-employment background check, physical exam and drug screeningMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesEducation and / or Experience
High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree from an accredited community, technical or vocational college preferred1 to 2 years of multi-craft experience in a manufacturing environmentLean / process improvement tools experience and / or interest in advancing knowledge in this areaPhysical Demands
