Accounts Payable Specialist in San Diego

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional seeking a short-term opportunity to make an immediate impact? A leading nonprofit organization in San Diego is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team for a 6-week onsite assignment.

Position Highlights :

  • Duration : 6 weeks (full-time, onsite only)
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
  • Compensation : $26-$28 / hour
  • Location : Central San Diego (onsite presence required for the duration of the assignment)

Role Overview : The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end AP processing across multiple entities within a collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly adapt to new environments and systems, and who thrives in a mission-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process electronic invoices and manage bill capture using cloud-based systems
  • Handle AP for 2-3 primary entities, with occasional support for additional entities
  • Organize and process invoices by vendor name / alphabet
  • Utilize purchase order programs and automated bill capture tools
  • Collaborate with a cross-trained team covering 10-12 entities
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all AP functions

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Accounts Payable experience
  • Proven ability to "plug and play" with minimal training
  • Familiarity with electronic invoice processing and cloud-based AP systems
  • Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work fully onsite for the duration of the assignment

    • Additional Information :

  • Onsite supervision and training provided by experienced AP leadership
  • Background and drug screening may be required
  • This is a temporary assignment with limited potential for permanent placement

    • Pay Details : $26.00 to $28.00 per hour
