Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver Government in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and monitoring assigned government locations while carrying a firearm. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will play a key role in access control and interacting with visitors and staff. This position also requires driving as part of your patrol duties. Pay Rate : $21.12 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 10 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 PM

Wed 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Thur 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Fri 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas of the location to maintain a visible presence and help to deter potential issues.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of the surroundings.
  • Report and document security-related incidents, hazards, and / or unusual occurrences according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical situations.
  • Remain alert and prepared to act as needed while carrying assigned arms in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal standards.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • 3 years or more of prior military, law enforcement or adult corrections experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
