Must-Have : Epic charting experience required

Description :

36 or 48-hour option available.

Mixed acuity unit caring for both medical surgical and telemetry patients, as well as stepdown patients.

Staff will care for a maximum of five medical surgical patients.

The unit comprises 48 beds specializing in neurology and neurosurgery patients.

Eight beds are equipped for long-term EEG monitoring.

The patient population includes strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal cord tumors, and other neurological conditions.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 6 at night; however, it can sometimes reach 1 : 7 at night under rare circumstances.

Stepdown ratios of 1 : 3-4 are maintained during both day and night shifts.

All nurses are required to manage drips on their designated floors.

Nursing staff will float within the scope of their practice, based on facility needs.

Facility emphasizes a 100% nicotine-free environment.

Staffing requires working 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.

Weekend shifts include Saturday and Sunday, with potential night shifts on Friday and Saturday.

Requested time off must be submitted with the application.

Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

No local candidates accepted; candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility.

Pending licenses are accepted, but must be in hand at the time of submission to avoid delays in booking.

Mandatory wear of designated scrubs with facility branding is required.

Clinical support teams include care technicians, transport teams, and nursing assistants.

The facility is a leader in providing care to complex patient populations.

All contracted staff must adhere to the facility's compliance and orientation standards.
