American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring an active NC or compact license, EKG exam, and proficiency with Epic.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma, teaching hospital
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00) with every other weekend required
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4-5
  • Floating within scope to meet hospital needs, including sister campuses
  • Unit does not accept travel pairs
  • Uses Epic for charting and documentation
  • Royal blue and white scrubs required
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year to be eligible as travelers
  • Travel assignments are limited to two contracts, with a six month break required after the second
  • Floating may occur between like units or sister campuses based on the needs of the hospital
  • Holiday time off requests are limited to one holiday per assignment at manager's discretion
  • Pre-employment training modules (4-10 hours) must be completed prior to start and are non-billable

    • Requirements

  • Active NC or compact RN license required at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or stepdown nursing experience required
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
  • Must pass an EKG exam prior to start, no exceptions
  • Experience with Epic EMR required
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
  • Pending licenses are not accepted
