Cost Accounting Specialist-Sadlers

Description

This position assists the Plant Controller with maintaining an accurate cost system and analyzing cost reporting. The incumbent reviews analyses and reconciles daily production entries assists in daily review of exception reporting makes bill of material changes reconciles QAD inventory reviews variance reporting and assist in monthly close process. This position is critical in maintaining accurate product costs.

Assists with completing all daily exception reporting. This includes analyzing daily costs to explain material differences and actively working with operations to minimize variances. Other reports include negative inventories and zero value inventories. All variances on these reports must be researched to determine root cause and corrected as needed.

Assists with daily production review and research. Work closely with operations to identify and resolve production issues and make adjustments as needed. Analyze yields for accuracy and perform cost adjustments as necessary.

Responsible for reviewing IPV and UIRR reports. Working with operations procurement and corporate AP to resolve and correct issues discovered. Perform cost adjustments as necessary to correct issues with pricing to ensure proper costing into products. This requires monitoring the general ledger to complete material adjustments.

Perform daily balancing of QAD. Researching any variances and working cross functionally with operations / procurement to resolve issues.

Creates and distributes accounting reporting as necessary including but no limited to yield reporting product write-offs leaker tracking and pickle waste report.

Other duties can be assigned as needed.

Pay Range -$18.00-$25.25
