Job Summary : Meat Service Counter Clerks are responsible for providing customers with exceptional service. S / he is responsible for advising and preparing orders for customers at the service counter or for the self-service displays. S / he is responsible for the highest level of execution in regards to receiving, unloading, storage, rotating, merchandising and building of displays within their department. As a PFM team member is able to exemplify Pete’s Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service.

Essential Job Functions

• Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of meat and seafood, including the training in cutting.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in a diverse range of cutting styles.
• Provide customers with an educated recommendation to ensure satisfaction of products requested.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of how to cut, trim, and debone meat, poultry, and / or seafood.
• Use all equipment in meat department such as the refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
• Prepare food to company standards.
• Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Maintain department by stocking and ensuring proper quality of product.
• Follow and comply with department procedures for sanitation, prepping, storing, rotating, and stocking product.
• Follow safety guidelines for operating and sanitizing all department equipment.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Starting hourly rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and will vary based on things like location, experience and qualifications. All positions are eligible for Overtime, and some positions will have guaranteed Overtime available.

Hourly Rate is local minimum + $3 range.
