AquaPhoenix Scientific is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive,  responsible for building and expanding the Company’s lab supply, test kit, and reagent division.    We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to open doors, penetrate new markets, and are excited to join our expanding business.

Primary responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, advancing the sales process, building / expanding relationships with clients / customers, and devising strategies to drive growth and profitability.  The successful candidate will be working in a team-driven environment, rich in culture and experiencing tremendous growth. Knowledge of or experience selling reagents and lab supplies into industrial markets is a preferred.

Desired Skills, Education, and Knowledge

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Business Development Executive position will frequently have a combined education and / or work experience that is a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; along with four or more years’ sales experience - preferably in the water treatment industry.  Requires a valid US driver’s license and the ability to travel as required to fulfill the expectations of the position.

Additional characteristics, attributes, and skills include but are not limited to :

  • Develop and follow through on proactive sales leads through external source leads, cold-calls, and current customer / prospects.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and prospecting.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and account management.
  • Understand client needs and objectives and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and address any issues or challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as production planning, marketing, and customer support to ensure client needs are met effectively.
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics using CRM software.
  • Generate regular sales reports and forecasts to management, providing insights into market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting / exceeding annual sales goals and targets.

This is a remote sales position and the successful candidate will be subject to customary travel as reasonably required to perform the essential responsibilities of the job – including infrequently to the Company’s corporate offices located in Hanover, PA.
