Quality Engineer Systems
Join GE Aerospace as a Quality Engineer Systems and play a critical role in ensuring strict compliance with National Aviation Authority Regulations (Part 145, PC108, etc.), customer and internal quality standards. This position supports strategic SQDC objectivesSafety, Quality, Delivery, and Costby driving regulatory alignment and fostering a strong shop quality culture.
The GE Aerospace facility in McAllen, TX is one of our centers of expertise specializing in the repair of engine components used in commercial and military aircraft. These include LPT nozzles, HPT Nozzles, and HPT Hangars. You'll find state of the art technologies in CNC, EDM, & Coating as well as advanced technology development within our new Tech Lab!
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, monitor changes, and adapt processes accordingly. Manage regulatory certificates and approvals.
- Auditing : Conduct internal, external, and supplier audits, customer inspections, and process reviews. Drive corrective actions to completion.
- Documentation Management : Maintain accurate records of quality processes, certifications, and compliance documentation to ensure traceability and accountability.
- FLIGHT DECK : Collaborate to drive continuous improvement, lead problem-solving efforts, and ensure corrective actions are effective and sustainable.
- Training : Develop and deliver training on regulatory requirements, quality expectations, and best practices.
- Regulatory, Customer & Stakeholder Interface : Support customer concerns, manage regulatory visits, and ensure transparent communication with customers, regulators, and suppliers.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Quality / Manufacturing or relevant experience)Desired Characteristics
Strong knowledge of National Aviation Authority Regulations (e.g., Part 145, PC108)FAA Repairman or A&P certificate desiredExperience conducting audits and managing corrective actionsProficiency in quality management systems and toolsExcellent communication skills, including technical writing and stakeholder engagementAbility to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environmentThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
