Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Bridgeport, CT 06606 (Connecticut healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room Unit : Operating Room – General Surgery Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 17, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Hours per Week : 40 Shift : 8-hour day shifts (6 : 30am–5 : 00pm), with 30% of shifts from 1 : 00pm–11 : 30pm as needed; occasional weekend work required Call Requirement : 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls per 6-week schedule Estimated Weekly Pay : $2500–$2560 Operating Room RN Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Experience in a Level 1 trauma center required Clinical proficiency in General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho), Urology, ENT, Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation), GYN, and Orthopedics (total knee and hip replacements, anterior and posterior approach) Preferred : Previous travel nurse experience, EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS EMR system experience Active Registered Nurse license (Connecticut RN license preferred) Key Responsibilities for OR Registered Nurse Provide perioperative nursing care for a diverse range of surgical cases, including trauma, orthopedic, spine, neuro, and more Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain a sterile surgical environment and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols Participate in scheduled call rotations, including weekday and weekend shifts Accurately document patient care using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Demonstrate flexibility with changing schedules and department needs, including occasional weekend assignments Apply now to join our Bridgeport, Connecticut healthcare team as a Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) and take the next step in your nursing career!
