Base Pay Range

$65,000.00 / yr - $85,000.00 / yr

About this Role

BRINC is looking for an experienced sUAS pilot to perform final manufacturing tests on our outdoor drones at a remote test facility. You will conduct flight tests of the BRINC Responder, executing test maneuvers, gathering flight data, identifying and troubleshooting in‑flight anomalies, maintaining safety margins, and reporting any issues in hardware / software to partner teams. You will work closely with BRINC’s R&D and Manufacturing teams to deliver high quality test flights for production units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate sUAS in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre‑flight inspections, post‑flight inspections, and post‑flight analysis.
  • Monitor weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and other potential hazards to ensure safe operations.
  • Perform daily test site setup and breakdown, ensuring the site is operational each day and properly cleared at the end.
  • Execute flight tests and share critical feedback with partner teams.

Qualifications

  • FAA Part 107 Certification.
  • Practical experience with sUAS.
  • Knowledge and experience operating in US airspace.
  • Ability to convey technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Experience debugging hardware and software systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with commercial or public sUAS operations or university level education and training in civil sUAS operations.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of sUAS systems and real‐world performance.
  • Excellent piloting skills, with the ability to navigate drones in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Experience with technical or engineering record keeping, note taking, and tools.
  • General understanding of drone technology, including sensors, cameras, and flight control systems.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and evaluate unmanned aerial systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a startup environment.
  • Desire and / or ability to spend time outdoors.
