Security Officer - Access Control Screening - PT

As a Security Officer - Access Control Screening - PT in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food / Beverage, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and / or irregularities observed during shifts.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and emergency personnel as required.
  • Support the enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter prohibited behaviors and maintain order within the location.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
