Descripción del trabajoEnsure accurate labeling, pricing, and tagging of all items based on market value and internal pricing standards. Assist in the organization and display of merchandise to maximize visibility and sales potential. Maintain clean, organized, and appealing merchandise displays that reflect company guidelines. Confirm that all pawned, purchased, and sold items are properly recorded in compliance with state and local pawn laws. Support loss prevention efforts by carefully documenting inspections and discrepancies. Maintain accurate logs for rejected or damaged merchandise. Work with the Merchandising Department to provide feedback on product quality trends and customer preferences. Coordinate with the Sales Team to ensure items are shelf-ready and meet presentation standards. Report issues of counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented goods to management immediately. High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in business, retail, or merchandising a plus. 1–2 years of experience in retail, pawn, or related quality control / inspection role preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize counterfeit, damaged, or altered merchandise. Basic knowledge of electronics testing, jewelry inspection, or authentication of luxury goods is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand, bend, and lift merchandise up to 40 lbs. for extended periods. Comfortable working in a retail environment with frequent customer interaction.

The Quality Control Associate plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and presentation of merchandise in the pawn shop. This position ensures that all incoming, displayed, and outgoing items meet the company’s quality standards, are properly cataloged, priced, and merchandised, and comply with industry and regulatory guidelines. The associate works closely with the Merchandising Team, Sales Associates, and Management to safeguard the store’s reputation for fairness, accuracy, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance & Inspection
- Inspect all incoming merchandise (jewelry, electronics, luxury goods, tools, etc.) for authenticity, condition, and quality before acceptance.
- Verify that items meet store standards and are free of defects, damages, or counterfeit issues.
- Test and assess functionality of electronics, tools, and other high-demand goods.
