PositionQualifications(minimum) :

  • Excellentquantitativeandanalyticalskills.
  • AnassociatesorbachelorsdegreeinrelatedfieldoranElectricalJourneymansLicense.
  • Strongcomputerskills,toincludeMicrosoftofficeproductsandBluebeam,withtheabilitytolearnnewsoftwarequickly.
  • WorkingknowledgeoftheNationalElectricCodeandelectricaltheory.
  • Proficientskillsinreadingconstructiondrawings,specifications,submittals,anddatasheets.
  • Experienceinlayoutofelectricalequipmentandsystems,includingdesign / buildconceptssuchaselectricalone - linesandfeeder / branchcircuitanalysis.
  • Outstandinginterpersonalskills,toincludeexcellentverbalandwrittencommunication.
  • Problem- solvingcapabilitiestoidentifyandresolveproblemsinananalyticalandtimelymatter,byskillfullyanalyzingandprovidingalternativesolutions.
  • Effectivetimemanagementthroughproperplanning,organization,andabilitytohandlemultipleinitiativesatthesametime.
  • Beateamleader,balancingbothindividualandteamresponsibilities,withtheoverallsuccessofthebidprioritized.
  • Self- motivatedandflexibletoaccommodatechangesinInPwrsbusinessstrategies.
  • Abilitytotravelscheduledorunscheduledonalimitedbasis.

    • Summary :

    TheEstimatorwillanalyzeconstructionblueprintstodeterminethequantityandcostofmaterialsandfixturesneededaswellastheamountoflaborrequiredtocompleteeachbidandworkwiththecustomerstoreceivecontracts.TheestimatorwillalsohelpimplementmeasurestoincreasetheCompanyseffectivenessandefficiency.

    Education&Experience :

  • Minimum(8)yearsofelectricalindustryestimatingexperience.
  • Experienceinlargecommercial,industrial,orwatertreatmentispreferred
  • WorkingknowledgeofelectricalestimatingsoftwaresuchasAccubid.
  • AnassociatesorbachelorsdegreeinrelatedfieldoranElectricalJourneymansLicense.

    • EssentialFunctions :

  • Create / reviseestimates,proposals,andchangeordersforcurrentandprospectivejobs.
  • Workwithbusinessdevelopmentandprojectmanagementtobuildproposalsthatincludeaccuracyinlabor,time,andmaterials.
  • Identifyprojectcosttrendstoassistmanagementincostreductionandprocessimprovementsacrossprojectsandteam.
  • Responsibleforprojecthandoffbetweenestimatingandprojectmanagementonceprojectisawarded.
  • Requestmaterialandequipmentquotesfromvendorsandequipmentsuppliers.
  • Reviewsupplierquotestoconfirmadherencetoquoterequestsandaccuracyofquotesreceived.
  • Performtakeoffforindividuallyassignedprojects.
  • Overseealltakeoffforteamleadprojects.
  • LeadteambidsbyfullyunderstandingtheRFPandbiddocumentsanddelegatingtaskstootherteammembersbasedonexperience &ability.
  • Leaddesign / buildbidsbyunderstandingtheRFPandbiddocumentsandbeabletoidentifyandquantifyprojectunknownsorambiguities.
  • Trainnewestimatorsinthestrategiesandprocessesoftheestimatingdepartment.
  • Weeklyoutreachandfollow -uponpendingbids.

    • PhysicalRequirements :

  • Prolongedperiodssittingatadeskandworkingonacomputer.
  • Mustbeabletoliftupto15poundsattimes.

    • Working / Environment / PhysicalDemandstosuccessfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisjob.Thisisastationarypositionthatrequiresfrequentsittingorstanding,repetitivewristmotions,grasping,speaking,listening,closevision,colorvision,andtheabilitytoadjustfocus.Theemployeemustoccasionallyliftand / ormoveupto25pounds.Employeesinthispositionmustbephysicallyabletoefficientlyperformtheessentialfunctionsoftheposition.
