Lead precision production on Swiss-style lathes
Own setup, operation, and in-process quality for medical instrument components using Swiss turning platforms (20’s, 32’s, 38’s) across Hanwha, NTY3, and Hardinge machines.
Equipment suite
- CNC Swiss lathes : 20’s, 32’s, 38’s (Hanwha, NTY3’s, Hardinge)
- Finish machines, hand tools, fixtures, and jigs
- Inspection : calipers, micrometers, height stands, micro-vu, keyence, optical comparator, vici measuring tools
- Systems : Visual Labor Entry for work order monitoring and data entry
Core responsibilities
Set up parts per blueprints and set-up sheets; validate first-piece and approve setups by other operators.Run production to established procedures and guidelines; meet quality targets per AQL and work instructions.Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and instructions.Perform dimensional troubleshooting; execute offsets, adjustments, and tool changes as needed.Perform burr removal on parts where required.Maintain accurate counts of good / scrap parts; complete paperwork and database entries.Interface with the Visual Labor Entry system; monitor work orders and labor reporting.Comply with all policies and procedures.All other duties as assigned.Primary Operator Tasks
OP 1 – Chip PullOP 2 Measure Loader load / unload, plus inspectionOP 3 – OP1, OP2 and full mechanicals and offsets / adjustments and set up / dial in.Required qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.Hands-on knowledge of CNC Swiss style lathe machines and CNC controls.Proficient with calipers, micrometers, height gauge, and depth micrometers.Blueprint reading and ability to follow work operation sheets.Computer savvy; comfortable with production systems.Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment; strong communicator and team contributor.Organized, quality-driven, and committed to being “Best in Class”.Willingness to lead by example and learn NGI processes and procedures.Able to lift 40 lbs.Technical proficiency
