Must possess a current certification as a Nurses Aide. Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner. Be able to push, pull, move, and / or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and / or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.
Mystic Healthcare is a 100-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Mystic, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse Supervisor for our 7am-3pm shift . Come join our team!
RN Supervisor Job Summary :
The Registered Nurse supervisor will oversee day-to-day nursing activities in the facility, including developing work assignments, ensuring sufficient staffing and maintaining good working rapport.
RN Supervisor Responsibilities :
- Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
- Ensure that direct nursing care is provided by a licensed nurse, a certified nursing assistant, and / or a nurse aide trainee qualified to perform the procedure
- Ensure that all RNs and LPNs on your shift comply with written procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
- Provide leadership training that includes the administrative and supervisory principles essential for your Charge Nurses.
- Ensure that nursing service personnel follow established infection control procedures when isolation precautions become necessary.
