Bethlehem Construction, Inc., an innovative leader in commercial and architectural precast concrete manufacturing and construction since 1978, has an immediate opening for an additional Pre Cast Designer EIT to join our team. The Pre Cast Designer EIT works collaboratively with the team to produce drawings for the production and construction of precast concrete pieces. The successful candidate will work efficiently to meet deadlines & budgets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare detailed structural drawings and layouts for infrastructure projects using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Collaborate with structural engineers to interpret design concepts and produce accurate drawings that comply with project specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and industry regulations specific to infrastructure designs.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and verify dimensions for existing structures.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications, reports, and project plans.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation for infrastructure projects.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates related to project timelines and deliverables.
- Stay current with advancements in CAD technology and structural design practices, particularly concerning infrastructure projects.
- Lead the design and analysis of structural components and systems for infrastructure
- Conduct load rating analysis and structural evaluations
- Prepare contract drawings, specifications, and detailed engineering calculations
- Perform site inspections and assessments for new and rehabilitative design
- Coordinate design efforts with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Review project plans for compliance with applicable standards and specifications
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across project phases
Qualifications
EIT certification, BS Degree in Engineering Technology, or a related field.Minimum 3–10 years of structural design experience, including load rating analysisProficiency with structural analysis software and CAD platforms (AutoCAD, Revit)Experience with PCI design standards preferredStrong knowledge of AASHTO, AREMA, and other applicable codesExcellent technical writing, communication, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to produce high-quality, detailed, and code-compliant workProven experience as a CAD / Revit Modeler, preferably in infrastructure sectors, but other construction sectors are also encouragedProficiency with documenting structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, and foundation designs in CAD and RevitWorking knowledge of 3D civil software such as AutoCad, Revit BIM, a plusStrong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices related to infrastructureExcellent attention to detail and accuracyWork well with others in a team setting and have strong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to manage CAD and Revit plans and details on multiple projects and meet established deadlinesBenefits
