Overview
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Architecture Designer II to join our Cary, NC office.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager, independently preparing and presenting client-focused design solutions to project team members.
- Prepares contract drawings during all design phases of a project.
- Coordinates and collaborates with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally.
- Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and working drawings to illustrate design solutions, and develops and documents details to communicate design intent.
- Develops project specifications and assists the Project Architect in editing specifications.
- Develops, adapts, or modifies design features and details under the direction of a Project Manager, or a Project Architect.
- Performs basic architectural / engineering calculations.
- Prepares reports and related data tables.
- Maintains liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Prepares, reviews, and approves drawings as required under the direction of the Supervising Architect.
- Performs technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
- Coordinates technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines, and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- Manages a small team of design staff when requested or assigned.
- Assists in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design / drafting personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned by a Project Manager or senior team members.
Qualifications
Professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution, plus at least six years of related experience.6 or more years' experience.Non-licensed architectural staff.Highly proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD Architecture version 2022, and ability to annotate plans and details.Working knowledge of Word & Excel and Outlook.May also have 3D Rendering Software capabilities.Actively seeks licensure, has NCARB membership, and works toward completing certification.Actively seeking LEED accreditation and membership / participation in industry-focused events.Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.What We Offer
