We are seeking candidates to fill the position of Senior Water Resources Engineer to serve a varied client base and help expand our Water Resources Practice in North Carolina. We currently have office locations in Charlotte, Raleigh, and Kernersville but also open to remote or hybrid work candidates located in North Carolina or Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience and possess the professional and interpersonal skills to make a positive impact on our firm and the clients we serve. The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude, have a passion for and take pride in their work, be a creative thinker, and have a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.

Pay : 91,000 – 140,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

SENIOR WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Lead the planning and design of a wide range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects, including :
• Stream and wetland restoration
• Dam remediation
• FEMA floodplain analyses and permitting (No-Rise, LOMR, CLOMR)
• Culvert and bridge replacement
• Stormwater planning and design
• Watershed studies and asset management
• Site / civil development and public utility design
• Programmatic engineering support
• Manage and deliver engineering projects from concept development through final design, permitting, and construction support.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
• Interface with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians, to develop comprehensive engineering solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
