Security Officer - Transportation Patrol

As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol transportation-related locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible to the public. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and assisting with access control or badge procedures as needed. You will use your interpersonal skills and comfort with technology to maintain a welcoming and secure environment. Pay Rate : $22.80 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM Wed 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM Thur 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM Fri 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual activities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, visitors, and others at the transportation location.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and / or providing directions as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience in customer service, access control or using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
