Psychologist - Independent Contractor - Suitability Law Enforcement

Position Summary:

Valor Healthcare is looking for licensed psychologists conduct in-person psychological evaluations of candidates for the Forest Ranger program to support the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Office of Public Protection (OPP). This is a short term contract position working as a 1099 independent contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Must have excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate sound clinical judgment into clear and appropriate recommendations for initial or continued employment.

• Complete and submit all required documentation expeditiously and accurately in the required format.

• Provide in-person evaluations.

• Provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• PsyD or PhD from an accredited doctoral program.

• Must have a valid and unrestricted NY state license.

• Must have at least three (3) years of prior experience in assessing the suitability of candidates for employment as police officers/law enforcement.

• Experienced in one or more Electronic Health Records

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams)

• Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.

$175 - $200 per evaluation 1099 contractor

This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
