Pay Rate : $28 – $32 / hr

Job Summary :

The Mobile Technician supports general building maintenance, repairs, and facility operations across multiple locations in the Chicagoland area. This role requires hands-on work, technical troubleshooting, and professional client interaction while maintaining the highest safety and service standards. Candidates will work independently and occasionally with a team to complete maintenance work orders efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

Conduct minor plumbing, patching, and painting as needed.

Replace light bulbs, repair clogged toilets, and handle general building upkeep.

Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Review and complete assigned work orders, estimating time and materials required.

Support energy management initiatives by optimizing system performance.

Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Use effective communication and customer service skills when working directly with clients.

Travel between multiple client sites using a personal, reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

Required Experience :

Minimum 3 years of maintenance or facilities experience .

High School Diploma or GED (Trade School preferred).

Experience performing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC tasks.

Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.

Nice-to-Have Experience :

Advanced electrical or HVAC certifications .

Experience working in commercial or multi-site environments.

Familiarity with Safety or equivalent facility safety standards.

Required Skills :

General maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.

Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair skills.

Strong customer service and professionalism.

Preferred Skills :

Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email communication).

Organizational and documentation skills.

Ability to follow standard operating procedures safely and accurately.

Additional Skills :

Time management and task prioritization.

Physical ability to lift / carry 50 lbs. or more.

Attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Dependability and self-motivation in independent work.

Shift / Hours :

Monday – Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m.
