Mortgage Processing Assistant – Northville, MI

Mortgage Processing Assistant to join our experienced and collaborative team. Be part of a well-respected company with strong industry experience

Scope / Purpose of the Position

As a Mortgage Processing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the initial setup of mortgage loan files, ensuring each application is ready for smooth and efficient processing. You’ll work alongside a seasoned processing team and help drive an excellent borrower experience from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform initial file setup for new mortgage loan applications
  • Order and track third-party services including appraisals, title work, VOEs, and payoff statements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data entry in loan origination systems
  • Communicate with borrowers, title companies, and internal team members to ensure timely follow-ups
  • Support processors and underwriters with administrative tasks to keep files moving toward closing

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in mortgage processing or loan operations
  • Knowledge and ability to work in Encompass
  • Knowledge of mortgage documentation and workflow
  • Familiarity with ordering and tracking appraisals, title, and payoff requests
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced o????ice environment
