About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist RRT NICU

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)

Experience : 2 years of experience preferred

License : State licensed, RRT

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS

Must-Have :

• Experience working with pediatric patients, particularly in a NICU setting.
• Strong skill set in respiratory care for neonates and pediatrics.
• Ability to assist in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports.

Description :

Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a focus on pediatrics and NICU care.

Candidates must have two years of experience, but first-time travelers with a strong skill set will be considered.

Certifications required include RRT, PALS, and NRP.

The role involves managing a 12 : 1 patient ratio and providing advanced respiratory care.

Common patient diagnoses include respiratory distress syndrome, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and infections such as pneumonia.

Skills required include setting up aerosol therapies, performing intubation (both neonatal and pediatric), and managing ECMO patients.

The Therapist will participate in critical care procedures and use specialized equipment such as high-frequency jet ventilators and nitric oxide therapy.

Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend, along with occasional holiday shifts.

The travel position does not require on-call duties.

Candidates must be comfortable floating within various units as required.
