Descripción del trabajo\n Employee Management : Oversee employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to support team development and productivity. \n Training & Development : Assist with onboarding and training of new employees, as well as provide ongoing education and skill development for the team. \n Order Management : Expedite and prioritize shop orders through the department to meet production schedules and customer requirements. \n Cross-Department Coordination : Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure smooth manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processes. \n Workplace Safety & Maintenance : Ensure the team maintains machines and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner, addressing safety concerns promptly. \n Process Improvement : Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiencies and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. \n Problem-Solving : Address and resolve production or personnel issues promptly to avoid disruptions to operations. \n Compliance : Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations. \n Experience : Have previous supervisory / management experience (5 years minimum) \n Technical Expertise : Preferred experience in one or more of the following areas : welding; metal fabrication; machining, programming. \n Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to motivate, guide, and develop team members to achieve individual and collective goals. \n Shop Floor Presence : Ability to maintain a consistent and active presence on the shop floor, spending approximately 2 / 3 of the shift overseeing operations. \n Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with shop employees, office staff, supervisors, managers, and executives. \n Adaptability : Able to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected challenges while maintaining productivity and focus. \n Team Collaboration : Excellent team player with the ability to work well with others and foster a collaborative and cooperative work environment. \n Safety Leadership : Strong commitment to workplace safety, with a demonstrated ability to promote and enforce safety standards and practices. \n Performance Management : Proficiency in performance management processes, including creating plans of action and conducting employee evaluations. \n Detail Orientation : Highly detail-oriented, ensuring quality and precision in all tasks and responsibilities. \n Technical Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software. \n Multi-Tasking : Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively throughout the shift. \n Math Skills : Average math skills, with the ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English and complete logs, documents, and reports accurately. 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM \n Comprehensive Health Benefits : Affordable Medical, Pharmacy, and Dental plans. \n Wellness Initiatives : Employee wellness programs for a healthy work-life balance. \n Financial Security : Life and Disability Insurance, plus a robust 401(k) Profit Trust Plan. \n Work-Life Balance : Paid Time Off (PTO) and company-paid holidays. \n Growth Opportunities : Career development and advancement within a thriving company.
