JOB SUMMARY : The System Integration Engineer requires at least Administrator-level knowledge, but does not conduct normal Administrator job functions. Integrate software into the test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers; support System Test events by operating suites. Operate and troubleshoot systems during test events and integration activities. Work with external personnel to resolve test lab issues; work with Operations and Sustainment as well as Level-II / III support personnel to resolve installation and processing issues. Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files; perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; troubleshoot both test and operational issues; document test results and prepare test status documentation. Read test plan documents and procedures; create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues and assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities. Participate in integration tests with external elements and sensors; review and provide feedback of system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary and Attend meetings with other FAs, customers, etc. Position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC but multi-week travel to customer sites and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 1 year of system / network administration experience with a Associate's degree and / or relevant information technology certifications

Either knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology.

Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis), and off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages a plus

DESIRED EXPERIENCE : The integration of system components within an integrated test environment.

Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED : Knowledge of administration in at least one of these three domains : Networking, Linux, and / or Windows.

The desire to conduct complex troubleshooting by analyzing proprietary application logs, firewall policies, and interface documentation.

Technical knowledge of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System including sensors, shooters, command and control systems, and networks is a plus. Experience with Agile Methods, and Capability and Feature definition is a plus

High proficiency with Networking (Junos a plus)

EDUCATION : BA / BS in Engineering / Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. LOCATION : Full Time / On-Site in Colorado Springs, CO CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT : Active Secret Clearance DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT : Active IAT-Level II (Security Plus certification or equivalent) required at start SALARY RANGE : $90,000 - $110,000 Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
