Psychiatry Opening in Houston, TXPosition Overview:Seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Psychiatrist (MD or DO) to provide comprehensive mental health care in a collaborative, patient-centered medical home setting. The ideal candidate is committed to serving medically underserved populations and contributing to a team-based care model.Requirements: MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency Board certification in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship preferred) Minimum of 2 years experience in mental health preferred Unrestricted Texas medical license and DEA registration BLS certification (American Heart Association) Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, or Chinese preferred Valid Texas driver s license and reliable transportationQualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Competence in a range of psychotherapeutic techniques Strong observational and diagnostic abilities Compassionate demeanor with the ability to engage sensitively with patientsEmployment Type: Full-time Salary-exempt
