Network Administrator

Salary: based on experience

Oversees organizations computer systems and database networks, ensuring optimal maintenance and security protocols are in place. Key responsibilities encompass collaboration with IT personnel and company staff to assess network and system requirements, supervising the implementation of new hardware and software solutions, and utilizing employee feedback to effectively diagnose and resolve issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate the design and implementation of network systems.
• Deliver comprehensive network support across diverse operating systems.
• Implement and set up networking hardware for optimal performance and connectivity.
• Ensure continuous network connectivity for all computer workstations.
• Provide comprehensive network support to end-users.
• Oversee the management of servers, along with their corresponding hardware, applications, services, and configurations.
• Formulate and oversee policies governing the utilization of network resources.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive strategies for disaster recovery and data backup management.
• Assess and propose enhancements to security measures and system upgrades.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of the network to maintain optimal performance levels.
• Develop and oversee the management of network user accounts and permissions.
• Conduct a thorough evaluation of product releases to mitigate user disruption and guarantee compatibility.
• Develop comprehensive technical support documentation for various systems and applications.
• Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Over two years of experience in network administration.
• Preferred experience with Microsoft Windows Server versions 2008, 2012, and 2016.
• Prior experience with Cisco switches and routers is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A comprehensive understanding of networking principles is essential for effective communication and data exchange within and between organizations.
• Demonstrated expertise in network engineering, operations, and performance analysis.
• Proficient in technical troubleshooting with practical experience.
• Demonstrates the capability to operate autonomously with limited oversight.
• Understanding of computing infrastructures.
• Proficient in server management and monitoring tools.
• Demonstrates outstanding analytical skills and a strong aptitude for resolving complex issues.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and support non-technical individuals in navigating complex technical challenges.
• Ability to resolve complaints and negotiate with others.
