Position Overview

The Transportation Lead will oversee and manage a fleet of DOT drivers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role requires a Class A license and involves equipment maintenance, creating routes in Samsara, coordinating deliveries, monitoring routes, communicating with drivers, handling changes, maintaining records, resolving issues, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a fleet of DOT drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain and repair transportation equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Create and optimize delivery routes in the Samsara fleet management system.
• Coordinate deliveries and monitor routes for on-time arrival and condition of goods.
• Communicate with drivers about routes, traffic, and delivery instructions.
• Manage changes or cancellations for UniUni Fleet and adjust plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory levels for compliance and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries from customers and clients.
