About The Position

License : Active Registered Nurse license required

Certifications : AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, STABLE

Must-Have :

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Experience with electronic charting systems
• Skills in Cesarean Section, Circulate for C-section, LDRP, Level I Nursery
• Knowledge of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams, triage obstetrical patients, and use external fetal monitoring
• Experience with vaginal delivery

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse to work in Labor and Delivery.

The unit provides a full spectrum of level 1 maternity services and newborn care.

The nurse will care for patients who are at least 36 weeks gestation.

The position includes responsibilities in antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery care.

The nurse will also care for post-surgical GYN patients when needed.

The facility has designated operating rooms for Cesarean sections and maintains an 8-bed capacity.

Communication with interdisciplinary support teams is essential.

Staff may be required to float to other units as needed.

Weekend shifts are required biweekly.

On-call duties may be expected in case of low census conditions.

Candidates must have the ability to meet schedule flexibility and patient care demands.

Candidates should possess a vehicle for transportation to the assignment.

Travelers may be required to float between facilities as needed.

Failure to float may lead to assignment consequences.
