Job Purpose
The Armada Insurance team understands the importance of comprehensive insurance reviews and 100% compliance with lender and investor requirements. We provide the rapid turnaround required in today’s fast-paced real estate market. The Insurance Analyst I position is responsible for completing compliance insurance reviews for commercial real estate lenders. The person in this position will manage a portfolio of loans to ensure the insurance policies comply with the insurance requirements of the commercial lenders and investors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately conduct annual review of ACORD insurance forms for acceptability of investor / lender insurance requirements and ongoing compliance monitoring.
- Contact insurance agents by phone and email to adjust coverage to acceptable levels and / or submit insurance waiver requests to commercial lenders and investors.
- Develop and write a thorough insurance review report for clients utilizing Armada’s report-development software.
- Manage and ensure the data contained in the system is updated to reflect the current status regarding insurance policy information and insurance requirements.
- Correspond, either verbally or in writing, as necessary with clients, borrowers, or insurance agents to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to insurance.
- Interact with internal departments as needed to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to insurance.
- The Analyst may also perform peer-to-peer quality reviews and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High-school diploma or GED equivalent.1-3 years of property & casualty insurance experienceClear knowledge of Commercial Insurance Coverage – to include but not limited to Property, (including Flood, Wind, Earthquake and Terrorism), General and Umbrella / Excess Liability InsuranceExcellent attention to detail, judgment, flexibility, accountability, and dependabilityLegal document review and interpretation experienceWillingness to learn and apply on-job education to work assignmentsAbility to work in high volume / deadline driven environment, with strong ability to prioritize workloadExcellent written communication skillsBe able to communicate clearly and effectively in e-mail, phone, and virtual settings.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook.Strong problem solving and time management skillsPreferred Qualifications
BA or BS in insurance, finance, or related field.Insurance related certification or designationCommercial loan servicing experienceCommercial insurance agency or insurance carrier work experience.Be able to manage multiple assignments at any given time.Experience in SalesForce or other similar workflow management tools.Experience in commercial real estate insurance reviews for lenders.Critical Competencies
