Duties and Responsibilities (

• denotes essential functions) :
• Troubleshoot telephony / VOIP and data services for both systemwide and campus-wide telephony systems
• Assist in the design configuration and installation of equipment / cabling for systemwide and campus-wide telephony / VOIP services and data networks.
• Identify analyze and resolve telephony / VOIP and data network problems. Coordinate resolving issues with others & communicate status
• Upgrade telephony / VOIP services operating systems and hardware to keep systems working properly.
• Assist with design development testing & documentation of telephony / VOIP systems
• Assist with student scheduling supervision and training of student technicians
• Organize create and maintain documentation and diagrams
• Monitor status / performance of telephony / VOIP and data services using monitoring tools & applications.
• Take proactive measures to troubleshoot and fix telephony / VOIP and data service abnormalities and / or initiate trouble call tickets as required
• Perform campus and systemwide telephony / VOIP administration and support for equipment encompassing but not limited to servers gateways and cabling.
• Update technical skills by attending seminars classes and industry conferences
• Keep abreast of latest developments and techniques
• Support complex telephony / VOIP projects for systemwide and campus-wide deployments
• Assists with planning scheduling and coordinating projects to ensure milestones are met.
• Other duties as assigned
