Job Summary :

The Emergency Room Social Worker provides social work services in an acute care hospital setting, specifically within the Emergency Room. This role requires acute care experience and the ability to work effectively on night shifts. The Social Worker will address patient needs, provide support, and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities :

• Provide social work services to patients in the Emergency Room.
• Assess patient needs and provide appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
• Answer phone calls and direct calls accordingly.
• Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
• Coordinate equipment / supply needs and notify the appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
