We are searching for the best talent for our Medtech Surgery, Sr. Director of Us Marketing Ottava position, based out of Santa Clara, CA. This role is eligible for remote work within the United States.
Purpose : Ottava is J&J's first soft-tissue surgical robotics product, designed to enter an intense competitive landscape with a compressed launch curve. As a result, we are looking for a Sr. Director of Marketing, Ottava, reporting to the General Manager, Ottava Us, who can build capital selling capabilities while leveraging the breadth and scale of J&J to lead the Ottava team to compete in a fast-growing, multi-billion-dollar market.
You will be responsible for : The Senior Director, Marketing will be the functional lead for the Ottava Platform Us Marketing Team and will report directly to the GM Ottava Us. A key factor in their success will be effectively integrating this strategy into sales enablement and execution. They will collaborate with various functions, including Sales, Finance, Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA), Global Business Insights (GBI), Us & Global Strategic Marketing, Corporate Communications, Commercial Operations, and Professional & Commercial Education, as well as external agencies and vendors, to drive key commercial initiatives.
The Senior Director, Marketing will support the development / execution / delivery of all Ottava Us Marketing strategies, business plans, and all aspects of commercial execution. These strategies will include customer & market insights, branding, market segmentation, product positioning, channel strategies, and building the clinical marketing team to manage KOL development. This will be critical in order to deliver forecasted procedural volume-based goals on a national level.
This role requires a forward-thinking, strategic leader who challenges the status quo in the dynamic and disruptive field of medical robotics. Having a base of knowledge in Challenger Selling methods is a plus as this leader will need to be closely tied into the capital and clinical sales teams.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following :
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $173,000 to $299,000 and Bay Area $200,000 to $343,850. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar / performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Education : A Bachelors degree is required. MBA (Master of Business Administration) or advanced degree preferred.
Experience developing brand strategy and positions
Experience preparing strategic briefs and resolving implementation issues
Demonstrated knowledge of brand marketing, customer segmentation and marketing communications
Experience in customer selling and interaction, with Challenger Sales training preferred
Sales enablement experience to include sales training, content creation, strategy, etc.
This position may require up to 50% domestic travel with frequent trips to be in the Santa Clara office, as well as customer sites throughout US market.
