Janitorial Services Manager

Primary Purpose : This position is accountable for the cleanliness of the center common area, which includes but is not limited to the parking lot, common sidewalks, and service bays. This position is also responsible for emptying trash receptacles, tenant dumpsters, and operating a trash compactor.

Principal Responsibilities :

• Routinely inspects and patrols the interior and exterior of the facility performing interior and exterior custodial duties including sweeping sidewalks / floors, wet mopping sidewalks / floors, operating steam cleaner, operating hand vacuum, cleaning and restocking restrooms, gathering trash and emptying trash receptacles; operating compactor and turning trash carts
• Operate a variety of janitorial related equipment to maintain cleanliness of property
• Operate high-reach or lift equipment to perform debris removal and cleaning of elevated surfaces
• Assist other departments, including but not limited to, Marketing to clean and patrol during events
• Establish procedures to ensure completion of scheduled cleaning of different areas of the facility
• Maintain a professional, cooperative working relationship with management and all co-workers
• Perform the job in accordance with all applicable standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines (i.e., OSHA standards) to promote a safe working environment
• Ensure the appropriate inventory systems, records, files, material safety data sheets, cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools are maintained
• Notes damaged or missing property, missing trash containers, and other problems and notifies supervisor
• May perform additional duties as assigned
