Occupational Therapist - RWMC
Summary : Provides Occupational Therapy services to patients of all ages including adolescents, adults and geriatric patients who are referred; Evaluates the Occupational Therapy needs of the patient; Develops goals and treatment plan in conjunction with the patient and family / significant other; Implements treatment program; Provides education to patients, families and caregivers; Supervises Occupational Therapy students and support staff in compliance with hospital, state and national regulatory policies.
Education : Bachelor of Science, Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an Occupational Therapy program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licensure : License and / or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist from the Department of Health, Division of Professional Regulation, State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. BLS required.
Experience : Experience in physical disabilities setting with relevant field work / work experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities :
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and / or Safety Requirements : Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching and reaching. Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 30 lbs.
