Opportunity : RN - ED ER Job Details : - Multiple shifts available with in-time varying from 3 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 PM - Full-time position - Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 - 6 weekend days required per 6 weeks - 2 on-call shifts required per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed - Floating may be requested but unlikely due to census - Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients to strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases - Required certifications : Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA - RN License in state of employment or compact required - 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire - Precepted by designated trained staff member with competency validation required - Complete annual competency verification requirements - Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation - Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided - Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education Facility : This healthcare organization operates as part of a comprehensive medical system providing emergency services in the region.
