CVICU Cohort 30

Job Summary : Supports delivery of patient care by providing clerical and receptionist services to patients, families, visitors, staff, physicians, departments that support patient care, and all other customers of a Patient Care Unit with regular guidance. Facilitates efficient workflow, supports appropriate use of technology, and fosters effective communication.

Position Hours :

Three (3) 12-hour shifts

Days : 6 : 45 a.m. - 7 : 15 p.m.

Nights : 6 : 45 p.m. - 7 : 15 a.m.

Rotating based on unit need. No specific workdays or days off can be guaranteed.

Department Summary :

We care for adult patients aged 18 and up who are being treated for post-op recovery and intensive care for coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic surgeries, valve surgeries, pulmonary endarterectomies, heart / lung / dual organ transplant, and care of temporary mechanical circulator support, including the majority of our center's ECMO population.

Surgical cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular intensive care, including :

• post-op recovery and intensive care for coronary artery bypass grafting
• aortic surgeries
• valve surgeries
• heart, lung, and dual organ transplant
• care of temporary mechanical circulator support including the majority of our center's ECMO population
