Overview :

We are seeking an Asphalt Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of commercial paving and roadway projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on asphalt or paving construction experience who is ready to take the next step into project management. Previous PM experience is not required we are looking for a motivated individual with strong field experience and the ability to learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in managing day-to-day operations across asphalt paving projects such as streets parking lots roadways and highway work.

Support scheduling planning and coordination of crews subcontractors materials and equipment.

Work closely with senior project managers and superintendents to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Monitor project progress and help resolve issues related to safety quality or production.

Help prepare project documentation including daily reports quantity tracking and cost updates.

Communicate with clients inspectors and internal teams to ensure expectations are met.

Uphold strict compliance with safety procedures site standards and relevant regulations.

Required Qualifications :

3 years of experience in commercial asphalt or paving construction (streets parking lots roadway paving or highway work).

Strong understanding of paving operations sequencing materials and equipment.

Ability to read construction plans and specifications.

Proficient communication and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office project tracking tools etc.).

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications :

VDOT experience (inspection standards spec familiarity roadway construction processes etc.).

Experience interacting with inspectors municipalities or DOT representatives.

Ability to troubleshoot field issues and assist with crew coordination.
