Essential Job Duties
Description
The Project Controls Specialist 3 is responsible for overseeing contractor payment applications, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. They manage project control data, prepare construction schedules, and conduct value engineering studies, while also supporting project managers in maintaining budgets and schedules.
Essential Functions
- Oversee review and approval of contractor payment applications
- Manage and reconcile project control data for accuracy
- Prepare construction schedules and cost estimates
- Conduct value engineering studies for complex projects
Cost Management Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive cost management services, including budgeting and forecastingEnsure compliance with financial practices and reporting standardsProject Oversight
Support project managers in executing project controls processesTrack project performance and ensure timely completionRisk Management
Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategiesMaintain safety and compliance throughout project executionReporting
Generate detailed financial and project status reports for stakeholdersCollaborate with various departments to ensure project alignment and successProject Coordination
Work closely with Project Managers, Program Managers, and Senior Project Control SpecialistsFacilitate communication between contractors, consultants, and internal teamsEnsure alignment of project goals with organizational objectivesProcess Improvement
Identify best practices in project controls and implement improvementsDevelop new processes and procedures for enhanced project control efficiencyTrain and mentor junior staff on project control methodologiesFinancial Oversight
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of project budgets and financial forecastsMonitor expenditures and provide insights for cost-saving opportunitiesMaintain compliance with established cost management practicesStakeholder Engagement
Act as a liaison between project teams and stakeholdersAddress concerns and provide updates on project status and financial healthFoster strong relationships to support project success and collaborationQualifications
Required Qualification : - Years of Experience / Education / Certificates / Training :
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration or related fields.Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of related full-time paid experience.Wage Requirement
Starting Salary range for this job is $162,782.00 - $187,200.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environmentBenefits
